Fields of application and Assembly examples of MSR
Fig. 1: Locknut used as an adjustable seating surface for a machine superstructure. During assembly, the back-lash free setting of the nut can be precisely adjusted. The precise right-angled positioning of the end contact surface of the locknut ensures that no distortion of the machine superstructure takes place when tightening the counter nuts.
Fig. 2: Main spindle bearing in a turning lathe: The locknut ensures a high level of axial rigidity and good concentricity.
Fig. 3: End plate of a pillar set. The precisely right-angled contact surface of the locknut guarantees even subjection of the bolt thread to strain (devoid of flexural torque). This is of particular importance in situations involving dynamic stress.
Fig. 4: The spring pretension on a friction clutch is precisely and steplessly adjusted here using a locknut. A reliable locking function is of particular importance here.
